In our pursuit to offer products that improve the crafstman’s shop experience, we felt there was a missing option for anyone that doesn’t want the added price associated with our more complex 2x72 machine, but still needs a higher quality option than a frustrating beginner machine. This 2x48 offers all of the most essential grinding accessories in a single configuration that is simple to use and has a small footprint. Neil Kamimura is partnering with us to develop this grinder because he shares in our vision of making a high quality machine that is more accessible to a wider range of makers.

This beefy, welded, steel receiver can be added to your 2x48 to hold 2” square arms. Specifically, we offer a special sharpening attachment and boosted work rest to fit the 2x48 for those who want to expand the capabilities of the Trident Belt Grinder.

Once you have the 2x48 Accessory Receiver (sold separately), you can now use this large work rest for super easy install, removal, and angle changes without any tools. The 2” square accessory arm can be stored in AmeriBrade Pedestal Stands when not being used.

Once you have the 2x48 Accessory Receiver (sold separately), slide this accessory into your Trident belt grinder to give yourself consistent control over your sharpening process. The low profile clamp allows you to quickly grip the spine of your blades without tools and to grind both sides of your edge symmetrically. Compared to other sharpening machines, using a belt grinder gives you access to your full catalog of abrasives, which means you can quickly repair damaged edges with more aggressive belts and progress up to a mirror polish with a leather strop and polishing compound. This attachment makes sure you maintain a consistent angle while you progress through those different steps to make sure you get a scary sharp edge every time.

The 4 inch square pedestal has integral storage to keep all of your accessories at arms reach with your grinder.

The stand is 34 inches tall, putting the working height of an AmeriBrade 272 at 46 inches from the ground

Information about feet:

• Leveling Casters- Chosen for the best combination of mobility and stability, the leveling casters let you roll your grinder wherever you want to work. Once it is in place, the turn of a thumb wheel on each caster lowers a rubber foot and lifts the stand off the wheels for a sturdy base that compensates for irregularities in the floor so you have a sturdy base without wobble.
